Grom is back and now better than ever!
The new Grom is the Toadgobbler Goblin King model from Avatar Wars and I really love this model. Heaps of detail like the toad and barrel on his belt to the crown and wolf pelt cloak. What I love the most is that the model really is fat, with a studios attention to proper obesity in the flesh and skin especially around the arms as well as the gut and neck.
The wolves I replaced with Fenris wolves which are larger and more dynamic and a load more fierce, even if they were harder to place with the chariot. I did put some reins on but they detracted from the overall feel of the model so I took them away.
The chariot itself remains as it is a spectacular sulpt, incorporating mammoth tusks and metalwork. Some gobbos surely put in their greatest efforts for Grom the Paunch, Warlord Grom, King Grom!
