Wereshark

Dwarven Pirate Wereshark

The Dwarven Pirate Wereshark by Reaper Dark Heaven miniatures was an instant hit with me when I first spied him in the store. Such a complex model too, with all kinds of detail including his treasure chest and key, spyglass and pistol at his belt and companion hermit crab and scallop at his pegleg.

Even though this model needed to be painted before his two part assembly, the process was easy, with only the smallest amount of greenstuff needed to fill the gaps.

The rest of the detail was a challenge, but ultimately a great deal of fun to paint and as an added bonus, I finished him on my birthday, giving me a great sense of accomplishment.

I'll certainly enlist this guy as a hero in Long Drong's Slayer unit.

I remember going out on a cray boat when I was very young, and they pulled up hermit crabs as well as crays. Although miniscule, I tried to paint the hemit crab exactly as I remembered them. So cool.
